Hello!
I was very interested in Mr.Tutumi's story on last class.
I always say "Itadakimasu" when i eat something.
I thought all most all Japanese people say "Itadakimasu" as if it were air.
To my surprise, Today's elementary school kids doesn't say it!!!
Hi♪”
返信削除I understand your surprise.
We have to say that before eating for appreciating to every life.
I want to tell them about his speech.
Even when I was in the States, I said "Itadakimasu" before every supper.
返信削除I explained "Itadakimasu is feelings of thankful to animals." to my host family.
But I was also surprised that my host family prayed before the supper.
Do you think it is the almost same thing to say "itadakimasu" and to pray?
Hi, CHARLIE,
返信削除I was surprised at the kids, too.
It is important to say itadakimasu for nonreligious reasons,I think.
HEY CHARLIE :)
返信削除I WAS ALSO SURPRISED THAT NOW STUDENTS DON'T SAY "ITADAKIMASU"..
I CANT UNDERSTAND THEM PARENTS AND DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE THEM!!
